Sound Beginnings
Illinois Sound Beginnings is a collaborative effort between the IL Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program and IL Hands & Voices Guide By Your Side as a way to provide parents and professionals resources and information they need to ensure children who are deaf, hard of hearing and deafblind reach their highest potential.
The Early Years Project is a free online toolkit with easy-to-follow videos, activities, and resources to foster sensory development in the 4 developmental domains (Hearing, Vision, Communication, Language) for children ages Birth-6. The Early Years Project is designed to supplement home visiting & early education programs. Start with the Parent or Provider for an Introduction to the Project:
Each domain area comes with information and materials to use the project. You can download document to share, view video's for support an use each time you need it. we hope to continue to grow the content, please be sure to complete the surveys to assist us in this.
